How CS2 Trust Factor Works

Trust Factor is Valve's hidden reputation system for Counter-Strike 2. This guide explains what it is, how we check it, and how to improve it.

1What is CS2 Trust Factor?

Trust Factor is Valve's internal scoring system that determines which players you get matched with in CS2. Players with similar trust scores are grouped together — a high Trust Factor means cleaner lobbies with fewer cheaters and toxic players.

Valve does not publicly disclose the exact formula. However, based on official statements and community research, key factors include your Steam account age, CS2 playtime, in-game behavior (reports vs. commends), VAC/game ban history, and Steam profile completeness.

Trust Factor shows indirectly: when you queue with a friend and a yellow or red warning appears, your trust levels differ significantly. No warning = both players are in a similar (usually green) range.

2How does cs2trustfactor.com work?

Our checker uses a multi-source algorithm to estimate your Trust Factor score. Here is what happens when you enter a Steam ID:

Steam API

We fetch your public profile — account age, CS2 hours, Steam level, number of games, and VAC/game ban history.

Leetify API

When available, we pull advanced metrics: aim rating, utility rating, positioning, crosshair placement, and time-to-damage.

FACEIT API

We query your FACEIT ELO and level directly from the FACEIT platform.

Scoring Algorithm

All data points are weighted and combined into a 0–100 score. Unusually high stats in certain areas may indicate suspicious behavior and lower the score.

We only read publicly available data. We never ask for passwords, match auth codes, or private credentials.

4How to Improve Your Trust Factor

✅ Play CS2 consistently — regular playtime on a single account builds trust over time.

✅ Receive commends from teammates — Friendly, Teaching, and Leader commends all help.

✅ Complete matches — abandoning games penalizes your score. Always finish what you start.

✅ Keep your Steam profile public — Valve needs to verify your data to assess your account.

✅ Maintain Prime Status — non-Prime accounts are inherently lower-trust.

✅ Secure your Steam account — enable 2FA (Steam Guard) and avoid trade bans.

❌ Avoid reports — excessive reports from others signal problematic behavior.

❌ No VAC-adjacent software — banned software on your machine can affect your score.

5Frequently Asked Questions

Is this site safe to use?

Yes. We only read publicly accessible Steam, FACEIT, and Leetify data via their official APIs. We never collect passwords or private credentials. There is zero risk of a ban.

Why is my result incomplete?

If Leetify is under maintenance or your Steam profile is Private, we cannot retrieve advanced stats. Set your profile to Public and try again in a few hours.

How accurate is the score?

Our algorithm is a close estimate based on known Trust Factor signals. Because Valve doesn't publish their formula, your actual hidden score may differ slightly. The result gives you a reliable direction.

Can I check someone else's profile?

Yes, as long as their Steam profile is set to Public. Just enter their Steam ID, custom URL, or profile link.
